Colbert at correspondents dinner

Stephen Colbert did the Correspondents Dinner last night. I thought it was interesting the AP hosts it (?) as AP seems to be less and less of a force in US news. Or at least as television news continues on a vector away from investigative reporting.

Colbert had a little fun with the gut vs. fact subject. His greeting to Antonin Scalia was also a funnier moment.

Here's a link to the video of Colbert's Speech.

I actually saw part of this. It seemed more like a Bush roast to me.

You know, I had that impression too. Definitely was roasty. I liked the “gut circular logic” bit and a the Scalia thing best I think. Not much of the rest will be too memorable.

How’s the paper going? The one anti-agrarian thing I am feeling right now is my allergies! The tree pollen is killing me. Ack! Trees bad! Nature bad! -snicker snort sniffle-

That was damnably funny!

Wonder how high up on the administration's hit list Colbert is now?
