the ear that sees

Okay, gross image. But best I could think of to kinda sorta go with this article. Not really tho.

Wired has a nifty piece on how to develop new senses. It's cool stuff. Not creepy like, say, growing an ear on the back of a mouse to harvest for human transplants.*

*Jer, uh...ME's other selves haven't weighed in for a while and would just like to remind the management that were he say, a burn victim, he might feel very otherwise about Mickey Mouse ears.

I think we need to start growing mouse-parts on the backs of humans... it's only fair!

Heya Bish - great to hear from ya. I am sure I quite agree. They may certainly use my body to grow platypus bills. ;-)

Send updated phone info if'n ya pleez. jk_reyn@hotmail.com

Sarah - Totally for real. Experimental. They graft an ear form under the mouse skin.

I forget the exact details, but it seemed like the point was to grow the cartilege for new people ears to give to extreme burn victims. Then again, it could be the skin. Don't know.
